Reese Wed/Thur & a Big Announcement!

Rachel here. Wednesday we started our day with Bouncing Bears. It's a jumpy class that both Reese and Emma Grace can attend. So fun. I have really cute video but am having issues right now uploading them. I'll post them when I get a chance. Wednesday and Thursday's letter was /t/. Reese still hasn't mastered it. I think it has a lot to do with having to leave the house now for classes. She's having a hard time retaining. We review each letter everyday though, so hopefully it won't take long to get into the new routine. We had TONS of leftover tissue paper from her birthday party, so Reese ripped and glued tissue paper to her /t/. She then painted a tree using a bingo blotter for the green, and her hand dipped in brown paint for the branches. Then, because we've officially entered Fall, she added fall colored buttons to the tree to resemble the leaves changing colors.

I then thought it would be cute to paint with tire tracks... not so much.

Bryan and I got Reese some wooden food for her kitchen set. It's nice and sturdy, and I'm trying to wean out all the cheap plastic food. I separated all the pieces, and Reese had to find the matches.

Reese got some money from Uncle Gary, so we meandered on over to the toy store. Our toy store here in town is AWESOME! Lot of wooden, sturdy, and educational toys. WE LOVE IT. I found this awesome sandwich game that is made my Melissa and Doug. There are different games that you can actually play with the pieces, but I decided to pull out five cards and have her recreate each sandwich. We did the first few together, but she started to understand how to read the cards and could do them on her own.

The wipe boards make a daily appearance.

I found this printable at Montessori for Learning. It's simply a letter sort, but one I didn't have to create, so I'll take it. :)

Transferring. I FINALLY got a cute pair of chopsticks!!! They had them at the cute toy store. Add those to leftover gum drops from her /g/ and voila!

Pre-writing practice with her workbooks.

Emma Grace also got Reese this super cute puzzle. Reese did really well with it. We worked on it together for the most part, but she was very good at recognizing what she needed to look for.

Halloween sensory bucket. We used all the leftover swamp creatures from the birthday party. After I took this picture, I added skulls and skeletons. It's pretty cute.

We also added two more numbers to our "Very Hungry Caterpillar."

And Reese worked with her Tag books.

Yesterday, Daddy worked from home, so we went on a nature walk to collect Fall items for a collage. We had so many different things, we had to create a little basket for the larger things that rests on the kitchen table. It was a lot of fun, and it was nice to get out as a family. Reese also got to use her new "fying gwass." :)

The final product is hanging on the window in our dining room. :)
And now for the big announcement. :) Yesterday we went to look at another Montessori Preschool here in town and loved it. As of right now, Reese will be enrolled after the first of the year... if not earlier. :) There are spots currently available, but I'm not ready to send her off quite yet. If we find the spots begin to fill up, and there is a chance Reese won't have a spot come January, we'll start her early. She'll be going three days a week half days. We're all super excited!
