Rachel here. It's official. Reese will be having surgery next Thursday to drain the two stys that have taken over the lower lid of her right eye. :( While I'm VERY anxious about the ordeal, the doctor seemed more than capable and has a super great rapport with children. She'll be put under since we're talking about needles being very close to her eye. Sadly there is nothing we can do to prevent this from happening again. The opthamologist did say though that increasing her omega 3 intake has the potential to do something for them. Needless to say, I'll be sneaking flaxeed into some of her meals from now on. Our girl is a super trooper, and I know this will be harder on Bryan and I. On another note... because of some of the tests they ran on her eyes, they discovered her right eye is stronger than her left. So our little girl will soon be the proud owner of glasses. We'll wait until after she heals from her surgery to even attempt to get that filled. I think she'll look like a doll in her new specs. :)
Please say a little prayer for us come Thursday!!!

Poor Reese (and you)! I will think of her on Thursday. I can imagine that she will look SO cute in glasses! Aaaah!
p.s. From experience...start small with the flaxseed....it can create some potent bathroom experiences for the young 'uns.
She is going to look so adorable in glasses! :)
