Mommy found these drawings of mine while cleaning out some cabinets in the kitchen.
"Santa Claus.""A snowman."
"My entire preschool class!"
"Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer." (Note the nose is profile, but the rest of the face isn't... hehe.)
"A clam."
"My jelly-fish."

Keeping busy

Some things we've been working on together... The Zip lock bags have shaving cream + a couple drops of two different colored food coloring + little hands that squish = color mixing.

We're trying to only get "open ended" toys for the girls. Things they can do whatever they want with to get an outcome... things that allow them to create what they want or act things out. Thats why children always enjoy the boxes toys come in as opposed to the toy... they create whatever they'd like with just the box. There are really some great things out there!

Adios Anin
And so ends an era. Congrats to Uncle Aaron who starts his new jobbie job in Tidewater tomorrow. We had a love hate relationship that Aaron and I. He's lived with use for the last 2.5 months... we had good days and we had bad days. Words were exchanged; I even hit him once. But today... today I was sad to see him drive away for the last time (let's forget he'll be back this weekend for the Duke game!). And so we bid adieu Uncle Aaron... adieu.

Wed-Fri... Reese
Rachel here. I feel like we've gotten NOTHING done this week. Between rec center classes and doc. appts., preschool time was eaten up quickly.
Anywho... I found this activity specifically on One Hook Wonder (I think!). Reese had to transfer the colored water via medicine dropper into the floral ice cube tray. She loved it so much, she transferred the water from the tray BACK to the bowl. :) Since she enjoys cutting so much, I thought I'd throw in a pizza cutter along with her plastic knife to cut her play doh. All was fine and dandy until Emma Grace found the pizza cutter and was caught running around the house with it in her mouth. Oy.

Reese Wed/Thur & a Big Announcement!
Rachel here. Wednesday we started our day with Bouncing Bears. It's a jumpy class that both Reese and Emma Grace can attend. So fun. I have really cute video but am having issues right now uploading them. I'll post them when I get a chance. Wednesday and Thursday's letter was /t/. Reese still hasn't mastered it. I think it has a lot to do with having to leave the house now for classes. She's having a hard time retaining. We review each letter everyday though, so hopefully it won't take long to get into the new routine. We had TONS of leftover tissue paper from her birthday party, so Reese ripped and glued tissue paper to her /t/. She then painted a tree using a bingo blotter for the green, and her hand dipped in brown paint for the branches. Then, because we've officially entered Fall, she added fall colored buttons to the tree to resemble the leaves changing colors.
