Rachel here. We started this week with the /p/ sound. I took the next set of letters (yellow group) and chose /p/ and /s/ because I knew I would be able to incorporate Halloween themes in with those two sounds.
Reese working on her /p/ lesson. She's decorating her /p/ with pennies. I gave her red and yellow food coloring and had her squeeze them separately into two different jars. And then she took a baster and transferred/mixed the two into a third jar.

Wed-Fri... Reese
Rachel here. I feel like we've gotten NOTHING done this week. Between rec center classes and doc. appts., preschool time was eaten up quickly.
Anywho... I found this activity specifically on One Hook Wonder (I think!). Reese had to transfer the colored water via medicine dropper into the floral ice cube tray. She loved it so much, she transferred the water from the tray BACK to the bowl. :) Since she enjoys cutting so much, I thought I'd throw in a pizza cutter along with her plastic knife to cut her play doh. All was fine and dandy until Emma Grace found the pizza cutter and was caught running around the house with it in her mouth. Oy.

Resources
Rachel here. I've tried to go back and find the resources for some of my activities I've been doing with Reese and Emma Grace. I'll start with saying that just about every ART activity comes from DLTK or First School... or my head. I usually just google "letter whatever crafts for preschoolers" and see what comes up.

Reese... Thursday/Friday
Rachel here. This week I've started to introduced Reese to numbers. This is a cute puzzle that matches the number of objects with the numeral. We worked on it together, but Reese was being SUPER SILLY and skipping numbers and starting with random ones. It was really frustrating. Fridays are horrible teaching days around here. We did manage to finish, but this was definitely not the only activity where Reese really tested my patience. Yesterday all she did was learn the /f/ sound, paint, and play with playdoh... ALL DAY. Not once was she ill behaved either... that made for a long day today though to get things done.
I love putting different things in her play doh container to see what she does with them. This go 'round I used marbles... she loved it.
THANK GOD IT'S THE WEEKEND. :)
