Rachel here. We have 3 weeks until we close on the house. I still have quite a bit I need to pack, but it's all pretty much stuff that we use on a daily basis, so it's stressing me out. We have a newborn in the house, and she's the last thing stressing us out right now... kind of ironic. :) Both girls have been really great around Berkley and are adjusting nicely. Reese, however, is off her damn rocker when it comes to the move. She wants to do art projects, and "play" preschool, and use this and that... my answer is always the same "that's in storage Reese, I'm really sorry." It's got to be super frustrating for her... I know this because she's beyond emotional. She gets frustrated easily, and constantly cries when you tell her "no" or "it's packed." Because of her frustration, I'm frustrated. Night before last, I yelled at her for crying "for no reason", and before bed she asked Bryan why I wasn't her best friend anymore. RIP MY HEART OUT. We're trying to be very patient and loving with her, but she's a big ole ball of emotional wreck. Hopefully things will calm down a bit in the next couple of weeks when we begin unpacking her toys and art supplies again at the rental. Oy.
In between nursing a baby and packing a box here in there, this is what we've been up to. Reese has really started loving holding the baby.

Best Mother's Day EVER
Rachel here. This was the best Mother's Day ever for me to date. Reese made me this little gift at preschool. The wrapping alone made me tear up. It's hard to tell but she wrote "to mom love Reese." :) Inside was a plastic baby food container that she painted and filled with beads and random trinkets. NO CLUE what it means exactly, but it made me love her even more, and it may have made me giggle uncontrollably. :) It's definitely something I'll treasure for the rest of my life.
Most of the things we wanted to do for Mother's Day were on Saturday as opposed to Sunday, so I really got the whole weekend to celebrate. :) We started Saturday morning with a trip to the paint your own pottery place in Roanoke. I can't wait to see my finished platter!
It was followed by a nice lunch at the ever so child friendly Macados. We then meandered on over to the Science Museum and Farmer's Market.
We ended the day at a cookout with some friends, but not before we headed over to the Strawberry Festival.
Quite easily my favorite picture ever. Thank you Bryan, Reese, and Emma Grace for one of the loveliest days of my life. :)
(Sunday I got BEAUTIFUL flowers and a scrumptious breakfast too!)

I wanna go fast!
Rachel here. Yesterday was Mother's Day. Emma Grace's first and Reese's third. I had a really lovely day beginning with these adorable gifts from my nuggets. I HEART Willow Tree figurines, and these were perfect. :) Once we got all gussied up in our Sunday's best, my brood took me out to a super yummy lunch. I had my FAVORITE sandwich, and then we were out and about for the day. We headed to Roanoke to see what we could get ourselves in to. Our family fun days tend to turn in to "what will keep Reese intrigued for more than 5 minutes?" kind of outings. Because she peed on the slide at Chuck-E-Cheese last time we were in Roanoke, we opted for something a little different, so we headed to Thunder Valley. There was a SMALL arcade inside, go-carts, and putt-putt. We played as much as humanly possible in the arcade (approximately 5 minutes before we all wanted to leave), we voted "no" on the putt-putt because it was super windy outside, so the only thing left was go-carts. I loathe go-carts. LOATHE. I also don't enjoy the thought of putting my children in them. BUT Reese was tall enough, and Bryan promised he would stay on the outer edge and take his time. :-/ Here is what resulted:
I'm not gonna lie... Reese had the time of her life. She cried when she got off, so we let her go again... I think we may have a speed demon on our hands.
Next year... I vote shopping. :)

Mother's Day
Rachel here. Today has been a GREAT day. I woke up to Bryan asking me what I wanted for breakfast... Hardees chicken biscuit it was. :) Sadly... one of my favorites. Reesie gave me her great gifts... What to Expect the Toddler Years and two cutout themes for my Cricut (hopefully I can get caught up on scrapbooking soon!)... and the cutest most appropriate card ever!
We then started some laundry and spent the day outside playing in the sandbox and doing some yard work. Lunch, nap time, and grocery shopping soon followed. Reese helped me do some planting. We probably should have already gotten our veggies in the ground, but with being on vacation we knew our garden would be neglected, so hopefully we're not TOO late. Our veggies will incubate in their mini greenhouses for a couple weeks and then into the ground they'll go. Bryan will be busy building another garden next to our current one for pumpkins. In the past we've just crammed everything into one; we're hoping we'll have a little more luck this year.

Happy Mother's Day
Sunday was my mommy's and my first Mother's Day. Daddy helped me to get her the perfect gifts. I got her a super yummy cookie cake and 2 books she's been begging Daddy for. :) I can't wait 'til next year when I can MAKE my own presents!!! I know Mommy is dieing with anticipation as well.
I love my mommy... and I'm pretty sure she loves me! :)
