Dear Daddy

Dear Daddy,

Here is what I looked like last night before going to bed... in case you forgot. ;)
I went to bed around 730 but didn't fall asleep until almost 9 because of my cold/allergies. I guess we'll find out Friday what is wrong with me. Mommy has been giving me my Claritin and filled my humidifier last night but said if I wasn't feeling better in the next couple days, she may try to schedule my appt for sooner. I was up every few hours crying. This was also conveniently when Mommy was feeding Emma, so she couldn't come right to me. By the time she came in to see if I was okay, I had already fallen back asleep. Hopefully we'll have a good day today. It looks like it's going to rain again, but maybe Mommy can get me outside before/after that! I love and miss you!
xoxo,
Reese
P.S. Emma thinks she has something important to say...
Dear Daddy,
I love you!

Oh Mommy wanted me to tell you that you owe her 5 diaper changes as of 850 this morning from last night (and that's just from me). She is also thawing out some of my milk from the freezer, so she said you need to be ready to give me a feeding tonight because she is "too pooped to party." You should also buy Mommy something pretty because Reese is being less than enjoyable! Ewww... I think I smell her... gotta go!

xoxo,

Emma Grace

Dear Daddy

Dear Daddy,

Today was a blast! Of course I didn't go to Story Time on account of my runny nose and cough (our baby's first cold!!!), but Mommy made it up to me.
After you left this morning, Mommy and I played in my playroom and watched "Curious George" and "Side the Science Kid" until it was time for my morning nap. I woke up around 1130, and Mommy immediately got me dressed for the day. She packed me up in the car and we headed to Chick-fil-a for lunch where Mommy had her usual, and I had my usual... turkey and cheese, crackers, and some fruit. It was awesome. After lunch we mosied on over to the Target where Mommy bought me some fun stuff for later in the afternoon. We had some extra time before my next nap, so we went to the library. Mommy finally paid my grotesque fine and got me MY VERY OWN library card. It's in MY OWN name and everything! The librarian looked at Mommy like she needed to be committed, but Mommy said that she was a teacher... and before she could even finish, the lady said "say no more..." like it's an illness or something. :) Anyway I got my card, played with two other little girls while Mommy picked some books out for me, and then we checked out. 230 = nap time for bonzos.

I woke up around 4... this is what my hair looked like:
I thought I looked good... Mommy thought I looked silly, so you know her and silly... out came the camera IMMEDIATELY.

Earlier in the day, while we were at Target, Mommy picked up some art supplies for me. She decided that we were going to draw with markers. Why she does these things I'll never know. They were these special markers that only write on this special paper... IE... no mess. I was none too impressed to tell you the truth.
I did manage to create this though:
Next Mommy wanted to try out these paints that were also no mess. She got me real finger paints, but we were going to try those out tomorrow. She wanted to see how I would do with these magical ones first. You put the paint on the paper, and it doesn't change color until you move it around. It was AWESOME! I had so much fun.
My creation this time was much more impressive. I can't wait for tomorrow when I can make beautiful rainbows!
After we played Picasso, Mommy took me out in the backyard in my BRAND NEW TO ME coat. You can tell I had never really worn a coat before because I was all out of whack. My balance was completely off, and I spent most of my time like this: and this:
I was super irritated, so I demanded Mommy take me to the park. Look what I got to do ALL BY MYSELF!!!! Mommy must have let me do it 30,000 times.
Soon it was time to go back inside for dinner. Mommy fixed me cheese ravioli and peas... so yum. And then it was time for my bath. We played "hair salon". It was fun.
Then I called you on the phone... do you remember that?
I wish you were home to help Mommy tuck me in. I hate when you're out of town, but Mommy says that I'll probably see you on Friday. I love you so much and miss you!!!

XOXO,
Reesie

Dear Daddy

Dear Daddy,

Good morning! I'm having lots of fun here in Tidewater. (For those of you that are not my daddy... I'm in Suffolk/Norfolk/VB for the next few days visiting. Daddy was super busy with stuff at work, so the Moms and I peaced out.) Yesterday I got to see my Nana at work. I love my Nana. It definitely took me a SECOND to warm up to her, but all was soon well and we were like old friends. :) All her little lady friends thought I was the cutest! After missing 2 naps, however, I was quite the wild woman... flailing all over the place... bouncing like I had no sense. It hit me eventually though. Mommy took me right out of that place before we were in full meltdown mode. I was asleep before we even got on the interstate to get back to Grandpa and Pearl's. :)
Once we got back to their house I got to play around in the front yard. That was fun. I pushed my little hippo around and even got a grass stain on my butt! It was SO cool! Guess what else I did???
Yes that's me... your eyes can refocus now. I have my face in a dog bowl. How sanitary of me. What did Mommy do? She snapped loads of pictures of me. Nasty Mom! She should have rescued me. Don't you worry though... that wasn't the only mischief I've gotten myself into the short time I've been here.
Grandpa's shelf drawers were empty... can you believe it? He'll be happy I filled them with all of my toys for him.
Today Mommy wants to take me to the beach and to some superawesomecrazywaybetterthanwehaveathome mall, so I'm pretty stoked. :) I can't wait to tell you about it!

Daddy's garden

Dear Daddy,

First of all... I miss you terribly! I wish you didn't have to go out of town all the time, but Mommy tells me someone has to "bring home the bacon in this house," so I'll go along with it. :)

I kindly reminded Mommy that she needed to be taking care of your veggie garden. Right before lunch today we went out to give her a good watering (and to see if we had a "varmint" yet... no go). We're watering away, and look at what we found!!!

It's a zucchini Daddy!!!!! Mommy said if I was good, she would cook it for me and let me eat it BY MYSELF for snack. :)

Xoxo,

Reesie

p.s. Mommy took some extra pictures to show that she has not killed your precious garden... all of which is organic for all you Blacksburg Hippie haters. :)

Good morning Daddy

Dear Daddy,

I missed you putting me to bed last night, but Mommy did a good enough job I suppose. She tucked me in around 7, but I gave her a run for her money, and decided to go to sleep around 9. :) I had lovely dreams and slept until 6:45.
For breakfast Mommy made me oatmeal with some applesauce swirls... so yummy.

I was a little cranky this morning, probably because I feel asleep late, so I had an early nap around 9. Up at 10, and I've been going strong ever since. I was trying to help Mommy dust and managed to fall on my head... again... I guess climbing on the bottom shelf of the foyer table wasn't one of my brightest ideas. :)
I can't wait for you to come home to see me!!!

Reesie

Hello Daddyyyyyyyyy...

Dear Daddy,

I hope Abingdon is not too boring for you. Mommy and I miss you very much. We wish you were home with us and hope you can come tonight. If not we'll see you tomorrow.

Yesterday was super fun. It was "Let's stay in pjs all day" Day. Mommy seems to really like celebrating this new holiday... we do it quite often. I got to roll around on the floor. I tried to call you on my cell phone yesterday, but Mommy said you must have been busy.
Mommy got tired of ripping the pages out of her magazine for me to crumple. She ended up just giving me the WHOLE magazine. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?! I love her.
I was so tuckered out that she put me to bed at 7:00 last night, but I played until about 7:30. Then I didn't wake up 'til 7am this morning! So far she's given me my breakfast and mid morning snack. Here I am with my cereal. You would think by my holding the spoon, the food all over there chair, and the ginormous glob on my forehead that she let me feed myself, but no... that was all her doing.

Anyway, I love you and I hope I see you soon!

XOXO,

Reesie
