July 4th

Emma Grace here.  We were in Norfolk for the 4th... Willoughby Spit to be exact.  Uncle Aaron invited us over for a BBQ and playtime at the beach... it was a lot of fun!

Sadly we didn't make it until firework time.  Between a lack of nap for me and Berkley's little heat bumps, we were done.  It was great fun nonetheless.  Happy Birthday America!

FREEBIRD!

We began the 4th of July festivities with Nana and her crew in VB. It was so nice just to hang out... well, that was until I went head first into the pool right off that giant pink floatie. Don't worry though... Nana saved my life. :)
Again... predrowning... with Nana and Pop.

After a few hours of visiting we headed back to Gpa and Pearl's establishment to eat again, play in the water again, and shoot off fireworks.

Beavis and Butthead were quite entertaining. Nothing like firecrackers and beer to make the 4th all the more American.
They were rather entertaining though.
Emma Grace and I had had about enough when those bad boys started making noises. I thought for sure the evening of arterial shells would be lost by the being scared right out of our diapers/underpants.

Soon the sun went down and so did Emma Grace. That meant it was time for the real party to start. My fear of the small fireworks was just a facade. The real fireworks were beyond awesome. I had so much fun... I kept yelling "FREE BIRD!"... with a little bit of prompting. Happy Birthday America!

Happy 4th!

So yesterday was the 4th of July. Mommy, Daddy, Emma Grace, and I headed downtown for the annual 4th of July parade here in The Burg. It was seriously one of the cutest little parades ever! There wasn't much to it, but it exuded charm. :) Mommy's pictures aren't all that incredible due to her having to take them and feed my sister AT THE SAME TIME... as if feeding her wasn't difficult enough. I was being rather clingy and had to stick to Daddy... so if there were to be pictures... Mommy had to take them. ENJOY!
Me chillin' with Uncle Tommy.

Our cute family of FOUR! Thanks Grandma for the 4th of July outfit for EG. It was a little big, but without it she would have been nude. :)

That would be me and my dear old daddy... I was quite intrigued by this thing we call a parade.

How cute is this little tractor?
That's Lester driving Engine #8. He's the equipment manager for the greatest football team in the whole wide world... The HOKIES! Word on the street is he's also part of the Volunteer Firemen Crew.

I loved the 'neighs!' That's how I say 'horse' these days. :)

Auntie Amanda

Over the 4th of July Holiday we also spent some lovely time at my Nana and Pop's house. I finally got to meet my Great Nana! While all the adults ate, I sat around looking cute, screaming and giggling, and being the overall best entertainment ever! After we ate, my Auntie Amanda held me tight and played with my little toes.

4th of July

Happy belated Birthday America!!! We were in Suffolk/Norfolk for the 4th of July holiday visiting with Mommy's family. Our first stop... Grandpa and Pearl's hizzouse in Suffolk. Grandpa took me into the big pool... I hated it frankly. Grandpa and Mommy put me in my little boat... I stayed calm just long enough to take a couple of cute pictures, but then I lost all control and had to be removed from the pool all together.
Daddy was nice enough though to blow up my froggie pool for me to enjoy. Once Mommy put me in it... I was as happy as a clam.
The 4th of July was a wonderful day that I got to spend with my family... even my Great Grandma!!
Happy 4th everyone... I hope yours was just as special as mine!
