Steeeeeeeeeeeerike! FOR REAL!

Mommy and Daddy took EG and I bowling yesterday. It was AWESOMELY fun. I got a strike. WHAT'S UP?!

(Side note: YES, I did in fact play a good portion of the first game with my sunglasses on.) This next photo is to showcase my big giant X... STRIKE... not Mommy's loserish 8.

Emma Grace was there too. She just chewed on random things. Luckily all those things belonged to us and not the cooty ridden bowling alley.
SNACK TIME!

Procreation ;)

Rachel here. If Taylor Swift and Will Ferrell were the only two humans left on the earth and had to procreate to rebuild the human race, this is what would result:

I wanna go fast!

Rachel here. Yesterday was Mother's Day. Emma Grace's first and Reese's third. I had a really lovely day beginning with these adorable gifts from my nuggets. I HEART Willow Tree figurines, and these were perfect. :)
Once we got all gussied up in our Sunday's best, my brood took me out to a super yummy lunch. I had my FAVORITE sandwich, and then we were out and about for the day. We headed to Roanoke to see what we could get ourselves in to. Our family fun days tend to turn in to "what will keep Reese intrigued for more than 5 minutes?" kind of outings. Because she peed on the slide at Chuck-E-Cheese last time we were in Roanoke, we opted for something a little different, so we headed to Thunder Valley. There was a SMALL arcade inside, go-carts, and putt-putt. We played as much as humanly possible in the arcade (approximately 5 minutes before we all wanted to leave), we voted "no" on the putt-putt because it was super windy outside, so the only thing left was go-carts. I loathe go-carts. LOATHE. I also don't enjoy the thought of putting my children in them. BUT Reese was tall enough, and Bryan promised he would stay on the outer edge and take his time. :-/ Here is what resulted:

I'm not gonna lie... Reese had the time of her life. She cried when she got off, so we let her go again... I think we may have a speed demon on our hands.

Next year... I vote shopping. :)

Get in my belllllllly!

Look at me go! I'm officially eating all by myself! :) Mommy has been feeding me my yogurt though... I'm EXTREMELY far from being able to spoon feed myself... let's be for real. I also get baby food if we're out and about not at a restaurant that Mommy is willing to let me eat their food. The freedom is LIBERATING... for all parties involved. :)
Hey why is she in my post? Look a that cheeseball smile and makeshift dinner table... my sister is CRAZY!

There that's better... back to me and my cuteness.

Thanks to all this messy food stuff, I see a lot more bathing in my future.

Disney World

It's official! Mommy received my Minnie hat and Reese's Minnie ears in the mail the other day. WE'RE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD! We'll be heading out the last weekend of this month and staying in Florida for a little less than a week, and we're super excited. This will be my first "real" time to Disney World, and I couldn't be more ecstatic! I say "real" because I did go with Reese when Mommy was VERY pregnant... I had a blast I'm sure. :)

Shut the front door!

Rachel here. First off our Minnie Mouse barrettes came in the mail today. Cute right? AND she sent me 2 extras! I heart Etsy!
AND I CAN NOT EVEN CONTAIN MYSELF! These are the two TOP SECRET items I ordered last week from TotzHatz over there to the right. CAN YOU BELIEVE HOW AMAZINGLY WONDERFUL THEY ARE?!!!!! Jackie did SUCH an amazing job... I COULD DIE! And... as if it couldn't get any better... the flowers detach... and are... wait for it... BARRETTES! Ahhhhhhhhhhh!

May resolutions

Rachel here. It's that time of month again... and this time I'm actually pretty proud of myself!

For the house: The plan was to begin renovation on the breakfast nook and kitchen. I'm proud to report the entire area has been primed and painted! I've been able to get one coat on one wall during the girls' naptime and then a second once they are in bed for the night. Needless to say that took me 2 weeks! :) The color looks great though, and I couldn't be happier. Today I begin painting the sides of some of the cabinets as they look kind of rough. Then I'll move onto repainting the molding at the bottom. We purchased new light fixtures, new window treatments, ceiling paint, and a new faucet. Once we get our hands on a new box of the flooring, we'll be in business. :) SUCCESS

For my girls/family: Get outside AT LEAST once a day. Minus rainy days... SUCCESS! It's been fun, but it's also been awful. Both girls have allergies, so at times it was against my better interest to get them outside, but I did it anyway. :)

For myself: Get out of town. SUCCESS, and it was a blast and a half! In fact I'm vowing right here and now to do something for myself... once a month. At least it's something right? :)

MAY
For the house: Finish up the nook/kitchen and move onto the dining room. Here we have to repaint everything and re-stain the furniture... black... so modern. :) I've got a couple of big events coming up in the early part of June, and the downstairs MUST be ready. Assuming those items get finished in an orderly fashion, the living room will be getting a fresh coat of paint as well. :)

For the girls/family: Now that art class is over and Reese is vetoing music class, I'd like to start planning a fun activity everyday to do with her and EG. Last month we went on nature walks and make pine cone bird feeders (and when I say "we" I meant I made the feeder while Reese blew bubbles!), and it was a blast. I'm much better at getting out and being adventurous if it's planned.

For myself: I'm rededicating myself to getting healthy/happy. After my trip to California, I was inspired by my high school girlfriends to branch out. One of my friends in particular has made such a change in her life, and she's truly an inspiration. Because of her, I've joined Weight Watchers. Blah blah blah... I know. I am in no sense of the imagine overweight, but I am VERY unhealthy, and I'm afraid Reese is starting to pick up on it. My goal in joining was to learn portion control and that there are other things to eat besides burgers, fries, and pizza. :) In California we ate some super yummy food... and I'm proud to report I have not had a burger since! In fact just the other day I had a yummy portabella mushroom burger... SCRUMPTIOUS! Anywhoodle... I've been on for 3 weeks now (as of this coming Wednesday), and as of last Wednesday, I lost 7lbs. Go on ahead me! I may just fit in those super cute little Mossimo capris yet! (Bryan has joined in on my efforts to set a good example for our babies... his goal... 30 lbs by January... he's doing great!)

Mother Load

So my good friend Jackson had this AWESOME sprinkler ball at his bday party last summer. It was amazing, and I fell in love. Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago, when Mommy spotted one at Once Upon a Child. MOTHER LOAD! It was super warm outside yesterday, so Mommy and Daddy set it up for me, and it was wicked awesome. I have a feeling the sprinkler will be my best friend this summer.

VT vs. BC

We were blessed enough to have BEAUTIFUL weather this past weekend. While they did call for rain both days, somehow our outside activities managed to work themselves around the pending weather. Sunday we went to the VT vs. BC baseball game. It was nice and warm but rather windy, so we didn't stay too terribly long. Daddy and I played catch. When we went to Sesame Place last summer, Mommy and Daddy bought me my very own SS ball and glove... that was before it was entirely confirmed I would be a lefty. FAIL. But I make it work no matter how awkward I may appear to outsiders. :)
Daddy and I got a foul ball! Now technically you're supposed to return all foul balls for a soda, but we thought the ball was WAY cooler... shhhhhh.

We also had Rita's Italian ice. Emma Grace even got in on this one. Both of our mouths were bright orange afterwards. We LOVE warm weather! Hopefully it stays like this!

My new friend

5 bonus points to the person who can guess the name of my new salamander!
Note: No salamanders were injured in this interaction with a 2.5 year old. He was soon set free after a short photo shoot.

And for Emma Grace

Rumor has it Mommy was making Reesie lovely things and not me, so I put in a request. :)
Rachel here. Addicted AND in love!
