Dear Halloween... how do I love thee? We started our Halloween celebration on Friday with a little trick or treating in downtown Radford and at the Montgomery County building. We used this as my practice run for the real deal on Saturday. I had a blast to say the least. There was oodles of candy to be had, and there was even a local church that had bounce houses and slides set up. Mommy, however, didn't bring the camera out because she really didn't think it would be that big of a to do. This would prove to be a huge mistake because of the funny costumes we saw that night at the VT Volleyball match. There were a couple of homeless men (complete with shopping cart, cardboard boxes, and their "donation" cup... all in Cassell Col.) and the 7 small plastic green Army men that busted in about half way through. She did snap me in my Alice in Wonderland costume. Sweet Emmabelle was the white rabbit. :)
Saturday was the real deal. We were all excited to say the least because I FINALLY got to wear my Dorothy costume. Emma was a little brown bear.
We began our rounds at Uncle
Ayon and
Iz's house. These two have easily become my two favorite people seeing as how
every time they left my sight I had a minor meltdown and screamed their names. :)
We then met the Funks in front of Moe's and got our
TorT on. Seriously people... how PERFECT is this shot? The Wicked Witch of the West (with full green face and all) giving little Dorothy candy! We could have stopped right there and it would have been a perfect day.
I became a
TorTing pro quite quickly.
Can you tell I was having an absolute blast?!?!
Little
Alybug was a cheerleader. Cute huh?
After
DT we headed to the mall in hopes of getting some more loot... talk about a bust! I got more candy at Texas Roadhouse for dinner than I did there. :) After dinner we headed home but noticed there were still some houses that had their porch lights on, so out we went. I hit up about 10
ish houses. We had such a great time and can't wait for next year! Emma Grace and I are going to take over the world!

They are adorable in their costumes! Reese makes a perfect Dorothy. Although, you should warn her not to take candy from that green-faced lady....
