22 months

Rachel here. In a mere 2 months my mini-me will be 2 years old. GASP. Reese continues to learn and grow so much everyday. Not to mention she's as cute as a freakin' button! I just love her so much.

Language. After visiting with Brett and Jackson, I can't wait to see where Reese will be in a couple of months. They are talking fools! Our nugget is getting there and saying funny things everyday. It's interesting to hear what comes out of her mouth and the thoughts of "where on earth did she learn that?" are constantly running through our minds. We have these words and phrases to add to the ever growing list of her vocabulary: Reese where are you?, monkey, broken, house, tickle tickle, I know (I love you), paint, ta da!, snake, chipper (pictures), on, ongry (hungry), mouse, bunny, sheep, uh oh what happened?, yes, stuck, Daddy's at home, hug, bagel, five, fireflies (butterflies), elpant (elephant), and blue. She mixes her words still with LOTS of gibberish which happens to sound an awful lot like she was born in an Asian country. :)

When it comes to her personality and what she likes... she LOVES to play outside. It doesn't matter if she's in her Cozy Coupe, her house, or pretending to mow the lawn (which has become a favorite)... she loves being barefoot and running around in the grass. Dress up has become a favorite as well. Give the kid a tutu and a pair of glasses and she's hot to trot. The big thing these days is she's learned to jump. It's so funny watching little kids jump. She gets both feet off the ground about half the time. She's so giggly when she's trying to do it. "Watering" the garden is a fun hobby of hers as well. I put quotations around watering because she fills up her watering can that Auntie Jen and Uncle Rusty got her with water from her pool, she meanders over to the garden, stops about 2 feet short and waters that spot. The actual garden is only living because of Bryan and the weatherman. :) She loves to have her picture taken too. If my camera is where she can reach it (which will be NO MORE because she chipped my lens), she'll grab it, bring it over to me all while saying "chipper... chipper... cheese!"

Reese is starting to enjoy her job as a big sister. She used to ignore Emma Grace like the plague unless it was bedtime, and then she would give her a kiss good night. Now if I'm on the floor tickling Emma and talking to her, Reese will come over and do the same thing. She loves to play with her on Emma's playmat. I think as Emma grows and changes Reese will get a huge kick out of helping me take care of her and entertaining her. She, however, is not as kind to the dog. Grandpa and Pearl gave her a recorder (like a flute) in her Christmas stocking that she loves to blow ALL THE TIME. Winston HATES it and will howl like crazy and run under the couch. Reese used to get down on all fours and get right in his face under the couch and continue blowing it until Winston was crying so much, and until I took the recorder away from her. Now she stops when he starts to howl... and she howls with him... VERY cute, but I'm sure super annoying to the dog.

I can't wait to see how she grows and changes in the next two months!
