Rachel here. So yesterday began our first full day of official potty training. Reese is BEYOND ready to be potty trained. She can sleep through the night and naps and wake up completely dry, and actually has been doing that for a couple of months now. She proudly announced to us when she has a little something for us in her diaper; she'll even ask to be changed after she's gone. We'd started putting her on the potty in the morning as soon as she was waking up... she usually fights us to sit on the darn thing but always produces... even if it took an hour. With us traveling in the last couple weeks, we'd definitely fallen off the wagon but decided to hit it pretty hard once Bryan started vacation. He'll be in Abingdon for about 2.5 months (home on the weekends) starting after the new year, and I knew I didn't want to tackle this messy feat on my own then, so we're giving it a whirl right now. I figured if we were successful... great... and if not... at least we would have a solid foundation when he does leave, that I'll be able to continue with less frustration.

So yesterday... she honestly did WONDERFUL. We're basically having her run around with no pants on. Yes it's cold, but we have the heat on and the fireplace going, so it's actually pretty warm in here. We had her "naked" all day yesterday with no diaper except for when she went outside to play in the snow, and she didn't go in her diaper at all during playing. She successfully peed on the potty 3 times. She had a pee accident in the kitchen but stopped halfway through and ran to the potty herself to finish. Then last night after I went out to dinner with Auntie Lu, I got THE call. "Hello Bryan." "She pooped on the floor." "So clean it up... I'm off the clock." "Oh okay... I just thought I would let you know then." Muahahahahahahaha. That more than makes up for all the diaper changes he owes me. :)

Today we begin again... diaper/pants free. Hopefully things continue to get better from here on out.

Oh my lord. Bless your hearts.
One time, during her naked potty-training phase, Nora pooped THROUGH our apartment deck down ONTO THE NEIGHBOR'S DECK!!! Dave and I watched in horror as it slid through, and there was nothing we could do to stop it. Can you imagine??! We never said anything to the neighbor. He was a single guy with no kids and we hardly saw him -- we just couldn't bring ourselves to do it. We were hoping he would think it was some kind of "other-animal" poo....
Your girls are adorable. Merry Christmas!
