Hotel Pattison is closed for renovation. That's right... after our wonderful visit with Nana, we can start on my new room. Aunt Jen and fam will be visiting us at the end of April but we hope to have my room MOSTLY done by then, so there is somewhere to sleep! Lemme give you the rundown. My old room (Deuce's new room) for the most part is done. Mommy wanted to make sure it was equally as darling as mine was but as different as possible. All of my special things and artwork are out for the most part (minus my giant name blocks).
Deuce's new wall hangings that match the bedding. The valance is new but needs to be heightened.
Hopefully Deucie can have some letter blocks like me a la Grandaddy. Mommy has him busy with a couple of projects for my room though currently. He's in high demand around these parts. :)
Here is a closeup of the super cute artwork Mommy made for Deuce. It's just some scrapbook paper and buttons! She found the prints online for $50 each, but knew she could do them for a fraction of the price. All the paper was here already... all she needed were her $7 frames! She made owl ones for my room. The dots will stay the same above the closet, but what will it say? Will we use all the letters or need to add more for the name? Only we know for sure! Then you have my new pad. Last night Mommy and Daddy stripped my new room as much as they could. Uncle Aaron is taking the mattresses soon, and Mommy couldn't help Daddy get that giant piece of furniture downstairs to the garage, so it will be resting there for a little while. We hope to get holes puttied, baseboards finished, and maybe some primer on those walls by the end of the weekend. Here are the before pictures... it'll be a long adventure!
